Welcome to the Stein's Studio Newsletter

steinsstudio.substack.com

This newsletter is presented by steins.studio’s and will comprise of software engineering, career development and lifestyle articles.

The author, Dylan Stein, is a Senior Software Engineer at Apple, Inc who specializes in Distributed Systems, Development Operations, Frontend Technologies, and User Experience & Interface Design.

He is also an avid appreciator of fine things.

Combine these and I hope you, the reader, will find some interesting and useful solutions and recommendations for your career or life in the upcoming articles.

To my long time readers, thanks for returning.

I appreciate the support over the years, especially for my Modern Django series. I also apologize for the lack of content, I had put a pause on writing during my early time at Apple.

This blog will replace the Medium and DEV articles. Some free articles may be cross posted between these sites, but the majority of the content will live here. Please subscribe for updates!

Content:

In the coming week’s I will begin posting information and tutorials on the latest and greatest distributed system and frontend technology stacks. Topics will include:

  • Kubernetes (especially from scratch deployments on your own hardware)

  • Web3 technologies such as Smart Contracts and ENS authentication

  • Advanced patterns for Django 4+

  • React (and it’s ecosystem)

  • GraphQL + Relay

  • NextJS + Vercel’s bells and whistles

To be 100% upfront, many of these articles will not be free, as the time and effort required to create good technical tutorials is not trivial. I believe posting them to Substack however, easier than writing a book or my own course website (for the time being).

However, this newsletter will not be limited to software. It will also include articles centered around lifestyle, career development, and whatever else I believe others will find interesting. These articles will most likely be more accessible.

Thank you for reading, good to have you back and welcome new readers!
Get excited for the first article coming soon!
